ColdFusion plugin for Eclipse
Includes most of the commonly used features from DreamWeaver and Homesite and whole lot that neither of them have. The goal is to produce an IDE for CFML, not a design tool for HTML, so the design features in DreamWeaver have not been implemented.
The plugin works on Eclipse 3.x on Mac, Linux, and Windows (with jre1.4)

I thought I would never give up using CFStudio, which was my editor for the past 9 years. The transition from CFStudio to CFEclipse was pretty smooth, and after one to two weeks I was comfortable with the CFEclipse IDE. Check out the "Todo" Tasks and History tracker, also the snippets feature and tag insight are very helpful. Thanks to Mark Drew for all his hard work.

But this is stated on Mark Drews site that design is not its purpose. Even with out this benifit, it is the best thing on the market and is free to boot. Thank you Mark for this tool as well as the comunity for the input.

I monitor the CFEclipse user group (at groups.google.com), and I think that for the most part, they have been able to answer any questions I've had, and sometimes, the answer is waiting in the archives before I need to ask it.
Overall a great tool. Needs some work, but there are a lot of features in there, and you just can't beat it for the price!

I have seen in blogs that dragging an image from the Project Navigator into a CFML page should write the link (like Homesite), but mine just opens the image as a text document. (useless)
Also, I used the Quick Bar icons a lot to create items in code. Links, tables, form controls, etc. I do not see anything like that here. If I am missing it, please e-mail me and let me know where it is. Thanks!
If I am not missing it, I'd like to suggest adding it!
| | User: Anonymous | Rating: 7 | 2008-04-10 12:18:14 | | | It's an excellent plugin for coding in CFML, but it's horrible for CFSCRIPT... I code almost exclusively in CFSCRIPT and am unable to use this thing as I would like. If I've missed something, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, let me know.

| | User: Anonymous | Rating: 7 | 2008-03-11 08:08:20 | | | As a veteran Eclipse user and new to ColdFusion, I found this plug-in useful but not outstanding. I, too, noticed the auto-completion annoyance and intrusive. If the auto-completion can be trigger by the user (e.g. Ctrl-space) instead of popping up by itself, that will be a great improvement. Is this project still in progress?
| | User: Anonymous | Rating: 5 | 2007-11-19 21:41:41 | | | Were it not for one supremely annoying problem, I might like this plugin. The "auto-completion" feature is fine if you want to use it. But the problem is, by just hitting a space in the middle of your ColdFusion code, the popup "auto-completion" feature pops up a barrage of options and if you are not watching the editor when it does you just might throw in code you didn't want, or if blast some code that was there. This feature is so annoying that I am out tonight looking for ANYTHING else I can get my hands on that will do just basic syntax coloring.
