The Proxy Plugins lets you launch a proxy from within the eclipse IDE and attach it to a parent proxy that can be password protected. Furthermore the plugin configures the VM to use localhost as http proxy. with this setup all plugins wether they are prepared for http proxies or not can access internet via http.
This is especially usefull for the update manager and DTD validation. Added on: 19-Apr-2005
