Eclipse messenger is a free instant messenger, developed for eclipse users.
It makes it easier to communicate with other developers without requiring any other applications. It designed with the purpose of bringing developers closer and helping eachother.
The messenger has its own server, it does not support yahoo,msmsn etc...
