Parasoft Jtest is a comprehensive Java code analysis and unit testing product. It reduces the time and resources required to assess and improve software reliability, security, and performance from the earliest phases of development. Jtest instantly verifies whether code complies with over 500 Java coding best practices and any number of custom coding rules, then automatically corrects many reported violations. Additionally, Jtest automatically unit tests code to expose potentially crash-causing problems such as uncaught exceptions, boundary condition errors, and memory leaks. The automatically generated test cases are extendable, high-coverage JUnit tests that can be instantly leveraged for regular regression testing.

I jumped through all their hoops (registration, filling out other forms, etc.) trying to get an evaluation of this software but in the end someone called me and said that in order to see the demo they would have to set up an elaborate web conference with my management to decide if we are even worthy of trying it, and then only on their terms. Oh but if we shell out thousands of dollars then no problem, they'll give it to us. They must be afraid that we will find out it's junk before we invest too much time to pull out of the deal. I felt like I was shopping for a used car.
