Mylyn has two very usable features for me. JIRA connection enables more convenient update of JIRA tasks than normal www-browser interface. Also filtering 'Package Explorer' view with current task's context has reduced navigation effort - especially when programming long lasting tasks that require modification of several packages/files.

It makes sense only if you use a good (means: supported by Mylin) bug tracker. For all other users it only adds a lot of nice looking but sadly useless icons everywhere (on each and every view/editor) etc.

Perhaps this plugin rocks if you're using a connector, but if you're only using local tasks it sucks. Here's why:
- If you want to sort by scheduled start date, you're out of luck.
- If you want to manually re-arrange the task order (by dragging them around) you're out of luck.
- If you want to make one task dependent on another, you're out of luck.
- If you want to attach external resources (like files) to a task, you're out of luck.
- If you want to display more than the task name in the task list, you're out of luck.
- If you want to expand/collapse all, you have to go through a menu.
I gave up at this point.

Glad I gave this plugin a try. Makes working for the government much easier! i.e. work on this, now work on that, go back to this, just to those, come back to this, etc...

This plugin forwards my productivity to get bugfixes from other product versions, makes me developing multiple tasks w/o loosing context of each task. It slows down your IDE but speeds up your programming. A must have for bigger projects!

This plugin has promise. The idea is solid, but the stability is so very poor that I cannot use it with any version of Eclipse without it rendering the IDE unusable. It is in desperate need of a stability release--it doesn't need more features or bells and whistles, it needs to not crash.
